The Minnesota Agricultural Experiment Station is committed to providing a better life for all Minnesotans by funding locally-driven, long-term research that is also of national and international importance. Research and Extension programs focus on the needs of stakeholders across Minnesota.
MAES research focuses broadly on five topic areas of critical importance to various Minnesota industries while also aligning with USDA-NIFA's nine science emphasis areas. MAES works with multiple University of Minnesota colleges and University of Minnesota Extension to support impactful research across these topic areas.
