A lot has taken place over the 130+ year history of the Minnesota Agricultural Experiment Station. For one, the Experiment Station was not always located on its current home next to the Minnesota State Fairgrounds but was once on "land unsuitable for farming" in Minneapolis. Below is a timeline that tracks many of the important events and discoveries that helped shape not only the Experiment Station but the University of Minnesota and even the state.
